Postage is free and all single kits are delivered by Royal Mail Signed For® 1st Class.

The test provides over 99.99% accuracy when confirming that a tested female is the biological mother. If she is not the mother, the result will show as an exclusion. Testing is carried out using internationally recognised DNA profiling methods to ensure reliable and conclusive results.

Results are usually available on the next working day after your samples reach our laboratory. We’ll notify you if there are any delays due to incomplete paperwork or unclear samples.

The kit contains mouth swabs for up to three participants (typically the child, alleged mother, and father), detailed instructions, and a prepaid envelope for returning the samples to our laboratory.

The kit includes a prepaid envelope to send your samples back to our laboratory. Simply follow the instructions provided in the kit.

DNA Clinics testing kits are transparent with no hidden charges. However, there are certain circumstances where additional fees may apply:

• Swab re-collection: If the initial samples are contaminated or invalidated due to improper collection.
• Adding participants: Fees apply for testing additional individuals beyond the standard kit.
• Further testing: Required if initial results are inconclusive. Please see the disclaimer below for more details.
• Legal upgrades: If you decide to upgrade to a legal test after ordering a home test kit.

Unopened Kits:

• You may return an unopened kit within 14 days of purchase for a full refund (except postage costs). The kit must be in its original condition, and proof of purchase is required.

Opened Kits:

• Due to the sensitive nature of DNA testing, opened kits cannot be returned for a refund. This policy ensures the integrity of our testing process and maintains hygiene and safety standards.

Faulty or Damaged Kits:

• If your kit is faulty or damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately at 0800 988 7107 or via email. We will arrange for a replacement kit to be sent to you free of charge.

Refund Process:

• Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days after we receive the returned kit, provided it meets the return criteria.
