As well as the DNA test laboratory report, we provide a package that makes your results easier to understand.
Unlike other DNA test providers, we show each test participants DNA profile on the lab report. Rather than just provide you with a statement of the result, you will be able to see how the scientists in the lab have determined the results. To help you understand this and some of the terminology used, we also include an information sheet to help you better understand the lab report.
We will use the paternity DNA test report as an example. This is by far the most common type of test we do and other DNA test results such as for establishing siblings, are similar in the way they look.
The report then displays a table which details each test participant's particulars. This is followed by another table which details the genetic markers for each person. Each genetic marker has two alleles (numbers) associated with it. The scientists compare these pair of numbers for each genetic location and look for matching numbers. This information is displayed in a separate table in columns for clarity.
After this, the report details the probability of paternity as a percentage. This is followed by a statement stating whether the alleged father can or cannot be excluded as the biological father.
Finally, the report is signed by the scientist and states whether the report can be used for legal use or not. In addition, all reports are provided under the laboratory’s UKAS 17025 accreditation. Furthermore, legal DNA testing is covered by the Ministry of Justice approved list. The laboratory name and details are provided on all reports for legal testing, and the results package for peace of mind tests.
To accompany the lab report, we include other documents as part of the results package.
